We hope you are staying safe during these uncertain times!
As most of you are well aware, Ontario Soccer has postponed all soccer activities to the end of May. With most municipalities announcing recreation centres closures until July 1st, cautiously we have set July 6, 2020 as our proposed starting date for the House League and mini soccer.
Starting dates will be determined on critical key factors as follows:
- When sanctioning will be restored by Ontario Soccer Association and Niagara Soccer Association
- Availability of fields once municipalities re-open and access to community centres
- How many teams will each centre have and numbers to enable making a division (older children)
- Option of extending the season and playing in September (or weekend games)
These are all unknowns which impact planning for the season.
What we have determined:
- There will be no WNISL Cup Tournament for this season.
- There could be modification on playing nights.
- If the Return to Play is not possible, Clubs will be looking at options to reimburse player fees.
**PLEASE NOTE**
For players on travel teams, the three Clubs are in regular contact with the Niagara Soccer Association (NSL). At this time, there have been no updates with regard to an NSL season start date. We will communicate any new information as it becomes available.
We are encouraging you to register so that if we are able to start the season on July 6, we will have our numbers for uniforms. Also, please note, that there will be no late fees charged.
Thank you,
West Lincoln Youth Soccer Club
